Acceptable Use Policy (GEO Writer)

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your access to and use of GEO Writer (the "Service"). This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of the GEO Writer Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms of Service.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1) Purpose and Scope
GEO Writer is intended for generating business/brand-oriented content (including GEO/SEO-oriented articles and images) and for publishing/automation workflows you initiate. This AUP applies to:
- all users (including free and paid users),
- all Inputs you submit (including keywords/prompts and any uploads such as CTA images),
- all Outputs generated by the Service,
- all publishing, scheduling, automation, and integration features (Shopify, WordPress, n8n, and any future integrations), and
- all use of the website, app, APIs/keys (including n8n keys), and related systems.
2) General Rules (You Must Not)
You must not use (or attempt to use) the Service to:
- Break the law or help others break the law
Use the Service only in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations. - Violate rights of others
Do not infringe, misappropriate, or otherwise violate any third-party rights, including intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or contractual rights. - Cause harm or enable wrongdoing
Do not facilitate harm, harassment, threats, intimidation, doxxing, or abuse. - Undermine security or integrity
Do not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service; do not bypass access controls; do not interfere with security features. - Abuse the Service
Do not use the Service in a way that:- materially degrades the Service for others,
- attempts to evade usage limits, gating, or paywalls,
- uses automation to create excessive load, or
- exploits free access/trials or promotional offers.
- Misuse outputs
Do not represent Outputs as guaranteed accurate, authoritative, or professional advice, and do not use Outputs in a way that is deceptive, misleading, or unlawful.
3) Strictly Prohibited Content and Uses
The following are prohibited even if such content might be legal in some jurisdictions. This is a strict ban.
A) Illegal content and wrongdoing
- Content that facilitates or promotes illegal activity, including fraud, theft, or evasion of law enforcement.
- Instructions, encouragement, or facilitation for criminal acts.
B) Intellectual property infringement and piracy
- Generating or publishing content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, or other IP.
- Encouraging or enabling piracy, unauthorized distribution, or circumvention of digital rights management (DRM).
Note: References to third-party brand names/trademarks are not automatically prohibited; however, you must not use the Service in a way that infringes rights, misleads consumers, impersonates brands, or violates applicable advertising/platform rules.
C) Hate, harassment, and abuse
- Hate speech, hateful or dehumanizing content, or content promoting discrimination or violence against protected groups.
- Harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation, or targeted abuse of individuals or groups.
- Doxxing or disclosure of private identifying information.
D) Sexual content
- Pornographic or sexually explicit content.
- Sexual content involving minors (strictly prohibited in any form, including non-explicit content that sexualizes a minor).
E) Violence and extremism
- Content that glorifies, promotes, or instructs violence.
- Terrorist or extremist propaganda, recruitment, or operational instructions.
F) Malware, phishing, and cybersecurity abuse
- Malware, ransomware, spyware, credential theft, phishing, social engineering, or instructions to commit any of the above.
- Generating scripts or code intended to compromise systems, bypass security, or exploit vulnerabilities.
- Generating or distributing content designed to deceive users into revealing credentials, payment details, or other sensitive info.
G) Spam and deceptive SEO manipulation
- Spam, mass unsolicited messaging, or content intended primarily to manipulate search engines through deception.
- Doorway pages, cloaking instructions, scraped/spun content at scale, or other deceptive SEO tactics.
- Content designed to mislead readers or platforms about the source, authenticity, sponsorship, or endorsements.
H) Impersonation and deception
- Impersonating any person, company, or organization without authorization.
- Fake testimonials, fake reviews, fake credentials, fabricated citations presented as real, or other deceptive claims.
4) Prohibited Personal Data and Minors
The Service is intended for business/brand content creation and is not designed for submitting personal data about real individuals.
You must not input, upload, generate, store, publish, or distribute through the Service:
- personal data about real individuals (e.g., home addresses, personal phone numbers, personal emails, government IDs),
- sensitive personal data (e.g., health information, financial account details, biometrics),
- data relating to minors, or
- any content that violates privacy laws or another person's privacy rights.
If you provide any personal data despite this prohibition, you bear sole responsibility for any resulting harm, claims, or legal obligations.
5) Integrations, API Keys, and Automation Rules
If you connect third-party integrations or use n8n workflows:
- Use integrations only for accounts and properties you own or are authorized to administer.
- Do not use the Service to publish content to platforms in violation of their terms, policies, or applicable laws.
- Keep integration tokens/credentials and GEO Writer API keys confidential.
- Do not share, sell, or transfer your account, tokens, or API keys.
- Do not attempt to bypass one-integration-per-platform limits or other product restrictions.
6) Technical Abuse, Scraping, and Reverse Engineering
You must not:
- scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service (including Outputs, metadata, or user interface elements) except as explicitly permitted by us in writing;
- use bots, automated scripts, or high-volume requests that could degrade performance or circumvent controls;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, prompts, system logic, or underlying model behavior except where prohibited by law;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service, networks, or servers, including through denial-of-service (DoS) or similar attacks.
7) Export Controls and Sanctions
You must comply with applicable export control and sanctions laws, including U.S. sanctions administered by OFAC. You must not use the Service:
- if you are located in, or ordinarily resident in, an embargoed/sanctioned jurisdiction, or
- if you are a prohibited or restricted person under applicable sanctions lists, or
- for any purpose prohibited by export or sanctions laws.
We may block access, suspend accounts, or refuse service to comply with these laws.
8) Enforcement
A) Our rights
We may, in our sole discretion and without notice:
- remove or restrict access to content,
- suspend or terminate accounts,
- disable integrations or API keys,
- block publishing/automation actions,
- restrict features, and/or
- take other actions we deem appropriate to protect the Service, users, and the public.
B) For-cause consequences
If we suspend or terminate your account for cause (including AUP violations, suspected fraud/abuse, or legal/compliance risk), you may:
- forfeit unused tokens, and
- become ineligible for refunds, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
C) Cooperation
You agree to cooperate with us in investigating suspected violations and to provide information reasonably requested for compliance, safety, or security purposes.
9) Reporting Violations
If you believe content or conduct violates this AUP, report it to:
- legal@writegeo.ai (AUP violations, abuse reports, IP complaints), or
- support@writegeo.ai (general support).
Please include sufficient detail (e.g., account email, relevant project name, timestamps, and a description of the issue) so we can investigate.
10) Changes to This AUP
We may update this AUP from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and may provide notice by email, in-app notice, or by posting updated terms. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
